How much Uber and Bolt drivers earn in Poland
Take-home pay explained

DEPartner / 2026-10-25

How much can you earn with Uber and Bolt in Poland? The honest answer starts with three numbers: your turnover, the fees and costs, and the amount you actually take home. This guide explains the difference and shows DEPartner's figures for Kraków.

Turnover, fees and take-home pay

Polish drivers talk about obrót (turnover, the total value of your trips), prowizja (the platform commission) and na rękę, literally "in hand": the net amount paid to you. Only the last one tells you what you really earn.

  1. Turnover. Everything passengers pay for your trips in a given period.
  2. Platform fees. Bolt and Uber deduct a commission or service fee.
  3. Costs of your model. The car, fuel and the settlement with your partner, depending on who pays what.
  4. Taxes and contributions. Polish PIT and ZUS, depending on your contract.
  5. Take-home pay. What lands in your bank account.

When you compare offers, use the same turnover and the same driving hours. A higher headline figure can hide higher costs.

What DEPartner drivers earn in Kraków

DEPartner offer for Kraków: average weekly pay of PLN 1,500-2,000 take-home, and PLN 6,000-8,000 for a month.

You drive a hybrid from our fleet in the Bolt, Uber and FREENOW apps, with no deposit and no car rental fee. Fuel and servicing are on our side, and your payout arrives every week.

"Take-home" here means the amount paid out to you, not the turnover from your trips. That is the number to compare when you look at other offers, because it already reflects the costs of the cooperation model.

In Kraków, your result depends most on how many hours you drive and at what time of day. Demand comes from Kraków Airport in Balice, tourists all year round, conferences and students.

What Uber and Bolt say about earnings

Both platforms pay weekly. Bolt's pay cycle runs from Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59, and Uber transfers your earnings to your bank account every week.

Bolt's Polish driver page shows a weekly figure based on the national median driver income after commission. Bolt itself says earnings are not guaranteed, depend on the number, distance, duration and location of trips, and that the median in your city may be lower than the national one. That figure also comes before your own costs, such as the car and fuel.

Uber says drivers keep 100% of their tips. It also describes promotions for completing a set number of trips within a time window, extra pay for trips in busy areas, and surge pricing marked on the map in the app.

What changes your result

  • Hours and timing. The number of hours online and the time of day matter most.
  • City. Demand and fares differ from place to place.
  • Empty kilometres. Driving without a passenger costs fuel and time.
  • Settlement period. Compare full weeks or full months, not single good days.
  • Bonuses. Treat them separately from your regular income.
  • Who pays which cost. Check how costs are split between you and your partner in the contract.

Write down the settlement period, the city, your time online, empty kilometres and which side of the contract pays each cost. This gives you a fair picture of your earnings.

Uber or Bolt: do you have to choose?

No. In DEPartner's Kraków offer you drive one fleet car in Bolt, Uber and FREENOW. Since the "Lex Uber" amendment to the Road Transport Act, apps may pass ride orders only to licensed carriers, so you drive through a partner that holds the licence. DEPartner handles the licence extract, notification to the city authority and other administrative matters.

If you have your own car, you can drive it with DEPartner too. Tell us its model and registration details, and we will help you prepare the car and documents.
